摘要註

Navigating through new and unfamiliar environments can be challenging for many users, particularly when accessibility needs vary. This issue is exemplified by the navigational complexities encountered at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), an institution situated at the base of a hill in Taishan. The university's terrain presents navigational obstacles that can turn a simple campus route into a lengthy and stressful journey for some, including those with mobility limitations. To address this issue and improve navigation accessibility, this research initiated the development and implementation of an Augmented Reality navigation system for MCUT. The project involves creating a prototype app for outdoor campus navigation using Unity's AR Foundation. The AR navigation app uses the mobile device's camera to overlay digital navigation aids onto the user’s environment, highlighting accessible pathways to the desired destinations. By implementing this inclusive AR system, the project seeks to enhance the overall navigation experience and promote greater accessibility for all students, faculty, and visitors at the university。.
